Air Moves
Every robot program typically starts out with some robot moves to get to the starting point of your part. Use Linear or Joint air moves is easy to move the robot around in your program to successfully weld your part.
Linear Welds
Get started quickly with linear welds. Set your Waypoints at the start, middle, and end point of your weld to quickly repeat the same operation over and over again. You can change your weld settings, travel speed, and weaving parameters at each Waypoint to fully control the welding process from start to end.
Home Positions
It is nice to have a point the robot goes to every time it welds your parts. You may need three or more home positions with our dual table systems. No problem. Add and change home positions as needed to repeat global Waypoints or home positions in your programs.
Circular Welds
Not all welds are straight. 360-degree pipe welds, large rounded corners, and other circular features are quick to program with the circular function when welding.
Weaving
For many reasons, you may need to create a weave pattern when welding your parts. This is easy to set up to get the right appearance and penetration you are looking for. Weaving is also required for our Seam Tracking feature.
Stitch Weld
Not all welds are solid from start to finish. In many cases, a Stitch weld is required with multiple short welds evenly spaced along a common path. The Stitch Weld function is a great way to quickly set up these welds.
Touch Sensing
Our weld joints are not always in the same place from part to part, so how do we find them with automation? Touch Sensing is a great way to quickly find parts or features that are moving.
Wire Sense
Wire Sense is a powerful Fronius feature that can execute 2-dimensional scans to find weld joints that other search functions would not be able to find. This is a powerful feature that can be implemented with a simple check box.
Edge Detect
Finding sheet metal overlaps with other search functions is difficult and usually requires a camera. With Edge detect, you can find overlap joints with the welding wire in a similar manner as your would with Touch Sensing. This Fronius tool is part of the Wire Sense family of features.
Copy Features
Move and copy your welding program by replacing the associated feature.
Part Sense
This powerful tool searches for physical features and allows the program to decide what to do depending on the results. Use this tool to:
- Make sure a part is present before welding, not to damage tooling.
- Use the same program to weld left-side or right-side parts based on what feature it finds.
- Do run-in and run-out functions with multi-stage tooling to simplify the program for the operator.
Job Editor
With a computer or tablet, you can manage all 1000 welding jobs in the Fronius power source. Manage your WPS, create quality documents, and copy, paste, delete, or edit welding job information remotely.
Teach Mode
This is our favorite non-welding function. With this feature, you can teach your welding points without the fear of bending the welding wire. It is a huge time saver.
