Control gas, flame ignition, height sensing, and much more.
Traditional Cutting Process. Modern Automation.
Robotic oxy-fuel cutting for heavy plate, bevels, and complex geometry with automated gas control, ignition, height sensing, and torch motion.

Go Beyond Simple Oxy-Fuel Cutting
Start with heavy-plate cutting. Add reach and part motion as your applications demand more.
Positioners, Coordinated Motion, and linear tracks let THG automate bevels, pipe, vessels, oversized plate, and more complex 3D cutting paths. Every option integrates into the same THG robotic platform and programming environment.

IHT APC Process Control
Automates gas control, ignition, preheating, piercing, height sensing, and cutting parameters through one integrated oxy-fuel process package.

Positioners
Rotate pipe, vessels, and complex parts for improved torch access, beveling, and multi-sided oxy-fuel cutting.

Mobile Platform
Move the complete robotic oxy-fuel system between work areas without rebuilding or permanently dedicating the cell to one station.

MultiMode
Combine any two THG-supported processes, whether welding or cutting. For example, combine TIG precision with MIG productivity in one cell. Or do Plasma/MIG, Laser/TIG, etc.

Coordinated Motion
Synchronize cobot and positioner movement to maintain torch angle and travel path while the workpiece rotates.

Linear Tracks
Extend cobot travel along long plate, structural components, and oversized parts that exceed a fixed robot work envelope.
THG URCap Software.
Program Oxy-Fuel Cuts In Minutes.
Manually guide the cobot, and define the cutting parameters in THG’s graphical URCap interface. No need for dedicated robotic staff. Your fabricators can program THG systems, even when using additional axes.
Pattern Cutting
Program and repeat cutting patterns across the X, Y, and Z axes.
Free Drive Teaching
Move the cobot by hand to teach start points and cutting paths.
Job Editor
Create, copy, edit, back up, and restore cutting jobs.
Simulation
Check programmed robot motion before starting the cutting cycle.
THG proprietary URCap.
Designed for fabricators.
Integrated IHT process control.
Advanced cutting motion and sensing capabilities programmed in minutes.
THG Automation Integrates IHT Robotic Oxy-Fuel Systems

IHT APC brings stored cutting parameters and automated process control to robotic oxy-fuel cutting. Predefined settings for ignition, preheating, piercing, and cutting help operators achieve repeatable results with less manual adjustment.

Common Questions
What materials can a THG robotic oxy-fuel cutting system cut?
THG oxy-fuel systems are designed primarily for carbon and mild steel. Oxy-fuel is not suitable for aluminum or stainless steel; THG recommends robotic plasma cutting for those materials.
How thick can a THG robotic oxy-fuel system cut?
IHT APC technology supports mild steel from 3 to 300 mm (3/16 to 12 in.) thick, covering everything from general fabrication to very heavy plate cutting.
Can the system cut complex 3D geometry?
Yes. THG can combine the cobot with positioners and Coordinated Motion to cut pipe, vessels, curved surfaces, and other complex part geometry.
Can the system cut bevels?
Yes. IHT APC supports robotic bevel cutting with controlled torch angle, height, and travel path for heavy plate applications.
Do I need robotics experience to operate the system?
No. THG uses a proprietary graphical URCap interface on the cobot teach pendant. Operators can manually guide the robot to the cut location, define the path, and run stored jobs without writing robot code. Creating a job typically takes just a few minutes.
Does robotic oxy-fuel cutting require a safety enclosure?
Not necessarily. The cobot itself may operate without traditional robot fencing, but oxy-fuel cutting still requires the same fire, gas, heat, and workplace safety controls as manual flame cutting. THG recommends an application-specific safety assessment.
Can I automate long, round, or oversized parts?
Yes. THG offers rotary table or floor-based positioners, Coordinated Motion, and linear tracks for applications beyond a fixed cobot work envelope.
Can I expand the oxy-fuel system later?
Yes. Positioners, tracks, Coordinated Motion, mobile platforms, and longer-reach cobots can be added as part size and production requirements change without replacing the core THG platform.
How long does it take to get a system?
Two weeks average delivery time from order to installation.
Where do you support customers?
THG serves manufacturers across the US, Canada, and Australia. Canadian systems are built locally with no cross-border tariffs.
