Collaborative
Robotic TIG Welding For Precision Manufacturing
Traditional robotics capability. Collaborative simplicity.
Skilled TIG welders are difficult to find. So are collaborative TIG systems with genuine manufacturing capability. THG closes that gap with a production-ready TIG system your welders can run themselves.

Customize Your THG Welding System Now or Later
When you need more, THG is ready for you. Add motion, reach, and production capabilities when your application requires them. THG add-ons integrate with the same system and programming environment.

Power Source Options
Choose Fronius MagicWave 3000 for proven AC/DC TIG or iWave for multiprocess welding and DynamicWire control.

Positioners
Rotate or tilt weldments up to 1,100 lb for better TIG access and more favorable welding positions.

Push or Push-Pull Wire Feeding
Use push or synchronized push-pull feeding for precise filler delivery, including soft aluminum wires.

Advanced TIG Pulsed Welding
Use pulsed AC/DC TIG to control heat input and weld-pool behavior on thin or precision parts.

Coordinated Motion
Move the cobot and positioner together to maintain torch angle and travel speed through continuous multi-axis TIG welds.

Air or Water Cooled
Choose air cooling for lower-amperage TIG or water cooling for longer, higher-output production cycles.

MultiMode
Combine any two THG-supported processes, whether welding or cutting. For example, combine TIG precision with MIG productivity in one cell. Or do Plasma/MIG, Laser/TIG, etc.

CobotRunner
Extend the cobot across large precision weldments with 2, 4, or 6-meter linear tracks.

SideCar
Switch the same Fronius power source between robotic TIG welding and manual tacking or one-off work.
Complex TIG Welds.
Simple Robot Programming.
THG URCap brings TIG process controls and traditional robotic capabilities, including positioners and coordinated motion, into one graphical interface. Your welders can build simple or complex multi-axis weld programs in minutes.
THG proprietary URCap
Designed for welders
Full power source integration
Advanced welding motion and sensing capabilities programmed in minutes
Automatic Part Deviation Control
Part height can vary between batches, suppliers, and fixture setups. Even small changes can negatively affect results.
THG Z-Axis Tracking uses Arc Voltage Control (AVC) to compensate automatically. The system uses the arc-voltage feedback to raise or lower the torch in real time and maintain the programmed arc length.
Just check “Z-tracking” in the interface. One checkbox. That’s it.

Common Questions
What is a cobot?
A collaborative robot, or cobot, is a robotic arm designed to work alongside people on the shop floor. Cobots are simpler to learn and program than traditional robots, and require a much smaller footprint.
Do I need robotics experience to run a THG system?
No. Any operator can run a THG Automation system from day one. Our team stays on-site through startup and training until you’re producing confidently.
Can I weld steel, stainless, and aluminum?
Yes. THG TIG systems can be configured for all three. Fronius AC/DC technology provides precise DC arc control for steel and stainless steel and adjustable AC functions with waveforms for aluminum.
Can I start small and expand later?
Yes. Every THG system is modular. Start with a single weld cell and add positioners, tracks, coordinated motion, and multi-process capability as your production grows, without replacing the base system.
How long does it take to get a system?
Two weeks average delivery time from order to installation.
Where do you support customers?
THG serves manufacturers across the US, Canada, and Australia. Canadian systems are built locally with no cross-border tariffs.
Can THG TIG systems be used for aerospace and other critical welding applications?
Yes, when engineered and qualified for the application. THG TIG systems can integrate precise AC/DC process control, automatic voltage control, synchronized wire feeding, multi-axis positioning, and weld-data documentation. THG welding engineers and CWIs configure each system around your parts, welding procedures, and applicable requirements.
